Antique Wallpapers

As many of you have probably heared we are in the middle of renovation crazyness. Both John and I are very excited about our first real home and can not wait to move in. This still might take a while because right now the flat more looks like a war zone. The building is 7 stories high and over 70 years old. When we started to take down the wallpaper, it has not been 1 or 2 layers but up to 5 layers thick! John took down the tiles (several layers on top of each other as well!), took out the old sink, toilet, bathtub, not to speak about all the furniture that came with the flat. It is hard to believe how much junk we have been taking out! John has learned a lot about Hungarian construction work, and knows some Hungarian words now I haven't even heard of before.
:-)

This is the living room. :-)

My brother helping us take down a few layers of wallpaper.

The kitchen how it looked before...

And this is the status quo at the moment... I told you like a war zone. :-)

Check out the man behind the hole (and the renovation)!
